I was just browsing through nuffnang and I thought ok, lets give this a go! I signed up and now i’m going to try to do my first post and hopefully get a chance to attend my first movie screening with them.
From creative genius Tim Burton (“Alice in Wonderland,” The Nightmare Before Christmas”) comes “Frankenweenie,” a heartwarming tale about a boy and his dog. After unexpectedly losing his beloved dog Sparky, young Victor harnesses the power of science to bring his best friend back to life—with just a few minor adjustments. He tries to hide his home-sewn creation, but when Sparky gets out, Victor’s fellow students, teachers and the entire town all learn that getting a new “leash on life” can be monstrous.
A stop-motion animated film, “Frankenweenie” will be filmed in black and white and rendered in 3D. The talented voice cast includes: Catherine O’Hara, Martin Short, Martin Landau, Charlie Tahan, Atticus Shaffer, Robert Capron, Conchata Ferrell and Winona Ryder.
Presented by Disney, “Frankenweenie” is directed by Tim Burton, produced by Tim Burton and Allison Abbate, from a screenplay by John August, based on an original idea by Tim Burton.
So this movie is shot in black and white, for girls our favourite clothes colours are black and white. & i used to wonder if i could open a store which only sells black and white clothes. Definitely will name it B&W, sounds cliche but .. ok lets get on with this!
This movie is directed by Tim Burton, I’m sort of a fan of his, i watched Dark Shadows, Charlie and the chocolate factory, Corpse Bride, i think there were a few others, but his films somehow don’t fail to impress. FRANKENWEENIE is how a young boy revives his beloved pet dog back to life, setting off a series of monstrous experiments with hilariously catastrophic adventures.
I used to have two hamsters given by someone – i forgot who, and they were my first hamsters named Pepper and Salt. They were so cute I wanted to bring them for a science exhibition during a secondary school event. Basically I thought I could bring them anywhere since they were in a box! So i did. & I was stupid enough (and young back then, 13 years old.) I left them in the car of the school ops manager who drove us there. The weather was SO hot, by the time we got back to the car, they were found motionless and dead. I really freaked out because they were my first two hamsters and I was so sure my parents were going to scold me, and also i have NEVER seen anything dead. Anyhow the school ops manager and my form teacher helped me find a place in the school’s backyard somewhere and buried my hamsters.
The hamster I really loved the most was Prince, who somehow ran away or something, he was the gentlest hamster ever. He was black and white. and the next two were Miffy and Scruffy. I did often wonder if they could live forever, but hamsters usually have a very short life span, 2-3 years.
And I wonder what would i do to keep my favouritest pet by my side forever.. I know how dog lovers feel like a loved one has passed away when their dogs passed away (like the movie). If it was me, and I’m insanely rich, I would keep my favourtiest pet on botox – to keep it young looking, and then i would buy tons of vitamins and anti-ageing stuff for it, and I would also love if i could shrink it and keep it in my pocket all the time – so i could bring it everywhere and play with it all the time. Yes, sometimes i think i would like to do that to a loved one, same as a pet. Shrink it and put it in my pocket. I would probably also keep it in a incubator, to keep it alive, or put it on oxygen tank so it could breathe better. And of course – TIME MACHINE. Invent a time machine (like how every other engineer or scientist would think thats the only way!) And prevent it from an accident (if it was!) The other thing that popped into my mind was also how they would submerge themselves into a bath tub filled with water and put some wires in to it and KABOOMZ, my pet would either wake up or travel back into time – coming back ALIVE.
So anyhow, here’s the preview below of FRANKENWEENIE, and do catch the movie once its out!
